On November 23, 2009, FBI Deputy Director John S. Pistole led a ceremony on a rain-soaked day in Baltimore, Maryland that officially dedicated the Baltimore Field Office in honor of Special Agent Sam Hicks' memory.
"This building will carry Sam's name, but it will reflect the work you all do to keep the country safe from both crime and terrorism," Pistole said as part of his dedication speech. "And we are all grateful for (his) efforts."
